About the Project

Polly & Ross – Barnes

Polly and Ross live in a beautiful end of terrace period property near the river Thames and Barnes Bridge station. They previously had a rear ground floor extension done to create a kitchen/diner, utility room and cloakroom but needed more bedroom and living space for their growing family. They had drawings prepared and planning permission approved using a central London Architect and were looking for builders to provide a quotation for the work.

Having stumbled across Loft Extensions online they really liked the website and customer testimonials so approached for a quotation to deliver their proposed build. The project involved creating a designer loft conversion boasting views of the river Thames through contemporary, bespoke, triangular windows as well as the transformation of the basement into a fully functioning playroom and shower room.

Following a meeting with Loft Extensions’s surveyor Polly, Ross and their Architect were left impressed by his level of knowledge and were impressed again with the detailed quotation provided for the project. The numbers stacked up and they checked out Loft Extensions’s references so it seemed like a no-brainer to award them the work.

The build went successfully and the finished article with great design features and splashes of colour here and there made the end result really stunning. When the scaffolding was removed the Architect visited to inspect the finished work with Loft Extensions’s surveyor. As they turned the corner at the end of the road and the property came into sight he froze to the spot and went silent… After a few moments gazing up at the loft conversion, the Architect turned to Loft Extensions’s surveyor and said one word… WOW! Since then the Architect has put Loft Extensions’s name forward for other projects safe in the knowledge that the end result will be spectacular.
